In today’s mechanical era, when every individual is extremely busy due to numerous responsibilities, it has become very difficult to spare time from one’s precious schedule. However, as for the righteous servants of Allah, they are always in search of opportunities to do good deeds. Dar Al-Tanzeem is one such charitable organization that, in accordance with the commands of Allah Almighty, is dedicated to serving orphans, the poor, the needy, and the suffering humanity.

Taking an interest in its affairs and becoming acquainted with its work is, in itself, a great virtue. Therefore, we sincerely hope that you will take a few moments from your valuable time to read this and earn reward in both this world and the Hereafter.

Anjuman Dar Al-Tanzeem:

Almost a century ago, in 1926, this organization was established in the city of Amritsar, Eastern Punjab. Since then, it has nurtured thousands of orphans, abandoned, poor, and underprivileged children — not only raising them but also providing them with complete religious, academic, and vocational education, transforming them into respectable members of society.

Alongside the Children’s Home (Orphanage), the organization also runs a Free Hospital and an Eye Clinic. To serve this purpose, the services of a qualified eye specialist, lady doctor, and dispenser have been arranged. Every year, thousands of poor, needy, and orphaned individuals receive free medical consultations, medicines, injections, and tonics — enriching them with the priceless gift of health.

There is also a comprehensive plan in place to equip this hospital with modern facilities and services.

In the early days of Anjuman Dar Al-Tanzeem, a generous individual named Mr. Jalaluddin donated a piece of land located on G.T. Road, Amritsar. Following this noble gesture, the members of the Anjuman worked tirelessly to raise a substantial amount of funds. With those funds, a grand building was constructed, keeping in mind all the essential needs of the orphanage. Charitable activities continued in that facility with great efficiency until the Partition of India in 1947.

At the time of Partition, the members of this Anjuman migrated to Lahore, Pakistan. Considering the circumstances of the newly formed country, they decided to resume the activities of Anjuman Dar Al-Tanzeem in Lahore. As part of this effort, they received the current building located at 12 Main Bazar, Gowalmandi, Lahore, in exchange for the claim of the former Amritsar property. This building was named “Tanzeem House”.

To help operate the institution in its new location, Sheikh Sadiq Hassan (late) — who was then serving as Provincial Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Government of Punjab — helped secure a loan of Rs. 2,000 from the funds of the Muslim League. By the grace of Almighty Allah and the generous support of people like you, the institution has continued to operate smoothly and effectively to this day.

The graduates of this institution have gone on to hold respectable positions in society. Some have joined the Pakistan Army, others are teaching in educational institutions, some have established successful businesses, while others are working abroad — sending remittances back home and contributing to the economic development of Pakistan.
